HotStrip Warmer Bonds to Engine Sump
A warm engine starts easier and suffers less damage than a cold one.
Two systems available, one for typical RV Lycoming installations, another for the Rotax used in the RV-12 Rotax Engine Preheater, 150 Watt .
Lycoming system bonds two 100 watt aluminum heater elements to bottom of sump to heat oil and crankcase. Heat is transferred by conduction and convection to the rest of the engine.
Uses a high-tech thermally conductive epoxy to bond onto crankcase . Thermostat limits oil temp to about 190 F. The system includes thermostat, power cord, epoxy and connectors.
Systems carried by Van's require 120VAC power.
