This kit allows owners and builders of RV-12iS aircraft to upgrade to the latest-specification cooling system. Both the radiator and oil cooler are now mounted to the cowling rather than to the engine, which can improve fatigue life and enhance cooling performance.
This part number, SL-00112-KIT-A, is designed for those with access to solid-rivet tools. Alternatively, SL-00112-KIT-B is availble for those without access to riveting tools.
The arrangement debuted in the 2026 RV-12iS SLSA model.
