Not backwards compatible.
The individual components of the new assemblies are not compatible with older RV-4 spars and kits.
However, an entire spar could be swapped out for a legacy spar, if the legacy spar was originally
built by Phlogiston.
If a legacy builder needs to replace individual spar cap strips or main webs,
they will have to do it the older way, with Van's providing material to cut/drill.
