Cowl plugs are designed to fit the air intakes of your RV. This plugs fits snugly into the scoop providing protection against the elements and bird/rodent nesting. Each plug is manufactured from high quality, marine grade vinyl and bonded nylon thread for the stitching and front piping of the plugs. Linking nylon lanyards are attached to all plugs, and a "remove before flight" flag is attached to the lanyard.

Order this plug scoop along with RV-6/6A/7/7A/8/8A/9/9A/14/14A Cowl Plug Set (without scoop plug) to fully seal the cowling of your RV-8 with O-320 or O-360 engine. For an IO-360, you simply need RV-6/6A/7/7A/8/8A/9/9A/14/14A Cowl Plug Set (without scoop plug) .

As an added safety feature, two bright red visibility flags are connected to each plug, which can be seen from the cockpit, and the linking lanyards are made to go over a prop blade, which will eject the plugs if overlooked on the preflight.
